Dancing and singing is something I have always loved to do, at a young age I enjoyed going to classes and competitions. For whatever family reason this never continued. Looking back as an adult I was gutted that I never carried it on and wasn’t in the industry at all, feeling like I’d missed out on my chance.
I’m a mum of three and my babies have always been my world. For the last 12 years I have been solely ‘mum’ well and ‘wife’ looking after and supporting my young family. A few years ago I joined a choir at a dance & music school, I’d watch all the teenagers do their dancing and their shows, even going on to get jobs doing something they loved and I wished that could have been me, again thinking ‘na, it’s too late now’ Well my youngest started school last year and I decided I wanted to go for it!
I was so lucky to find out about Burlesque Chair Dance through a friend (Tequila haze), I saw her online posts about becoming a Instructor and it was like a bolt of lightning went through me, I got all teary, I just knew this was for me. I absolutely had to do it! I’ve never been so driven in my life and that’s mainly grown since signing onto the course and having so much fun learning the routine & teaching everyone I could before passing my exams.
Wanting something so much is actually quite scary, I wasn’t nervous about doing this, I was nervous about loving it and wanting it so badly. Here I am now! It’s never too late to do something that you are passionate about. I feel honoured to bring this wonderful class to my area. I can’t wait to meet so many new people it makes me truly happy. I hope I can put smiles on lots of faces!
I’ll look forward to meeting you soon ,
