Hi my name is Karen a.k.a. Krystal Spirit, I was introduced to Burlesque Chair Dance about 4 and a half years ago by a group of friends all of whom were up to 18 years my junior. I was almost dragged along to my first class and remember sitting at the start of the class thinking what the hell am I doing here?! I had confidence issues and I felt like the granny of the group! I left my first class totally hooked and within only a few months I took part in my first Annual Show. Over the last few years my confidence has grown to the point I have performed solo twice! If anyone had told me I would be doing that 5 years ago I would have laughed in their face!

I made the decision to become an Instructor so I can give to other ladies what Burlesque has given to me; I have rediscovered my youth, I am fitter than I have ever been before and I am the most confident that I have ever been in my life.

I teach classes in Pontefract & Wakefield, all our classes are beginner friendly so don’t be shy come give us a try? I am here to prove that classes are suitable for any age, size or ability! I can’t wait to meet you & I promise you will never look back! I certainly haven’t.
